This show was the brainchild of Jennifer Peas and Jennifer Carrots, that began at the Spring Break Slam in Burnet. Jennifer Carrots had already done a TV show on ACTV (1989-1990) called Musician's Hotline (a show that did referrals to help form or complete bands.) Peas and Carrots were so impressed by all the talent the Austin metal scene had to offer, and wanted to do something to help these bands get more crowds out to their shows and strengthen the metal scene in general.
Jennifer Peas lives out in Spicewood, and is more of a silent partner, but does all she can to contribute in any way possible.
Jennifer Carrots, the Executive Producer of Pure Metal Sickness, has been blessed to discover several other supporters of the metal scene, who believed in what she was trying to do, and have been gracious enough to join her in production of PMS.
Tammy Moore a.k.a. La Metal Freaktress joined the show, early on when she was still the booking agent for the Backroom. Tammy shared this vision for elevating Austin's metal scene, and has been the backbone of the whole operation. This girl has it going on when it comes to experience, working with and promoting metal bands and the scene!
Jennifer Carrots met Cindy Anderson and Cassie Boone at a Distempered show, and approached Cindy because she noticed Cindy had a camcorder in hand. Carrots was immediately thrilled to recruit this hot mother and daughter duo, after talking to them, seeing the enthusiasm and passion they both had for metal, and the personality they both had in general.
Big Timmy from Meet Fist was quick to join, and this amazing guy who is full of as much heart, as anyone could be, was accepted with open arms by all. He has not only been a dedicated member of PMS, he has really helped keep up the morale of the group as a whole. He is a force to be reckoned with, and he is valued by all for keeping the scattered and high strung Carrot's, focused, and on point! He is one of Carrot's most trusted members, because he tells it like it is.
